About Michael Michaud: With each piece hand-cast from real botanicals, the Michael Michaud table art collection captures the beauty and exquisite details of nature with functionality and durability in mind. Michaud creates his moulds directly from botanical elements like peach pits, leaves, and branches in a process similar to lost-wax casting, wherein plant matter is burned away from a wax outer, leaving behind an intricately detailed mould. Michaud’s passion for flowers and plants dates back to the early 90s when he found himself working in New York City’s flower district and living in the lush Connecticut countryside. Each piece is made by hand in Michaud’s New York studio.
